Goodnight and goodbye.
My entry for an art challenge hosted by Noctualis. In this DTIYS (Draw This in Your Style) challenge we are tasked to illustrate the original concept and character design in our own style. Artists have the ability to put their own spin on the idea, so long as it is recognizable.
So charmed by the Noctualis’ owl creature design here, I ended up painting this one the widest canvas size I’ve done in a while. I was conflicted between colours and value structure for this night scene during the process; in the end, I chose to present these final two colour variants. The aqua backlit scene is a close contender to its primary violet version!
